At New Concepts, our Substance Use Treatment Program provides individualized, evidence-based care for individuals and families struggling with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health challenges. We understand that substance use affects every aspect of a person’s life—and recovery requires support that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and responsive to each individual’s unique needs. Our program is designed to meet clients where they are on their recovery journey, whether they are seeking early intervention, outpatient support, or a step-down from a higher level of care. Services are delivered by licensed professionals with expertise in substance use disorders, trauma, and behavioral health, using a holistic and trauma-informed approach.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
At New Concepts, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is offered in combination with our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Non-Intensive Outpatient (NIOP) programs to support individuals with a physiological dependence on opioids. MAT provides a critical foundation for recovery by helping to reduce the intensity of withdrawal symptoms and cravings, making it possible for individuals to fully engage in the therapeutic aspects of treatment. By incorporating medications alongside counseling and support services, MAT allows clients to stabilize both physically and emotionally while working toward long-term recovery. This integrated approach enhances treatment outcomes and promotes a more sustainable path to wellness.
Program Requirements: • All clients participating in MAT must also be actively engaged in treatment services, typically beginning at the IOP level. • Clients must remain under the care of a prescribing physician throughout the duration of their medication regimen. • Ongoing medical oversight is required, including weekly follow-up appointments to monitor progress, ensure safety, and support individualized care plans.
Our MAT program is delivered in a supportive, stigma-free environment, with the goal of helping individuals reclaim control of their lives and build a strong foundation for lasting recovery
Assessments and Referrals
At New Concepts, all assessments are conducted by highly qualified, licensed clinicians to ensure a professional and compassionate approach to care. A comprehensive assessment helps determine how behavioral health challenges may affect an individual's life.
This assessment serves as the foundation for recommending the most appropriate level of care, either within New Concepts or, when necessary, through a trusted partner agency. Individuals may be referred to various services, including outpatient counseling, group support, or specialized treatment programs.
Assessments are available during walk-in hours, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Assessments may also be scheduled at times that accommodate individual needs and availability. Our goal is to meet each individual where they are and connect them with the care that best supports their path to wellness.
Office Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
